Remember the photo of the ‘Picobello truck’ on the blog of September 25th: “too big, you get stuck”. The photo of this bus was taken only a few days later, and less than 200 m from the same spot.

The other point I’m trying to make this time with a photo of an identical traffic situation goes as follows. There is a driver on board. He’s your pilot ! He ‘s got plenty of experience. The place and its problems are widely known. It was forbidden for such big vehicles, or should be: there, big busses & trucks are useless, and dangerous.  So, for drivers looking around, there are several road signs warning for the difficulties ahead, and pure common sense should have been enough to dissuade him from taking that direction, with that “car”.

Well, the same thing is true about the United Court (“Eenheidsrechtbank”: I won’t joke about “the United Courts of Justice” ;-)))  Not only there is a problem. You also can foresee it.

Indeed, the bus on itself is a beauty, and the idea is simple and inviting: “everybody on board”. But you do not change a city or an environment just by law. The potential problems on the road ahead are clear. The warning signs on red. Common sense forbids it: it won’t work that way.

Yet, I’m afraid the idea tries to go get back on track. Any architect prefers to design a big building, rather than a modest house. But sovchozes never worked.

It ever implemented for our Justices of the Peace, this project will get stuck, and stuck again. In our “small claims courts” precious time and money will be lost before our passengers to Justice reach their destination.
